Test Rig Engineer

Our plant in Thüringen (AT) stands for highest quality, sophisticated production technologies and trend-setting innovations within the Hilti production network as the lead plant for machining technology and tool assembly. Besides supplying customers with our series products, we support other plants in the production network with our know-how. Additionally, we contribute to the development of tomorrow´s Hilti products on a daily basis.
What does the role involve?
You will coordinate the test rig development and take it to operation during the technology and product development phase of the Business Unit Direct Fastening. You will support the international development team in the elicitation of requirements for test rigs. In addition, your tasks include the entire organization of test rig set-up (design, mechanical production, pneumatic and electrical planning, assembly and commissioning). To round up your tasks, you will deal with the expansion and further development of existing test rigs with a focus on automated data collection and recording.

What you need is:
- You hold a master’s/doctoral degree in the field of engineering (mechanical engineering, automation, etc.)
- You have previous work experience in plant construction / procurement and / or PLC programming (LOGO, TIA Portal)
- Your project management skills as wells as development and testing know-how is an advantage
- You enjoy working on several projects side by side
- You are «hands-on» as well as a strategic thinker and have a passion for conceptual work
- You are well-known for your assertiveness, structured and self-sufficient professional style
- You are a great team player and have excellent communication skills
- You are fluent in written and spoken English and German
