Team Leader Materials Management (f/m/d)
What's the role?
For our Materials Management Team, located in Lanzenkirchen near Vienna, we are hiring a functional head to lead an international team of Materials Managers and who successfully assures with his / her team a reliable global supply of the Business Unit Installation product segment according to the Hilti AGs standards, which directly contribute to Hilti’s objectives for sustainable, profitable growth.

Our site in Lanzenkirchen, based in the south of Vienna, is Hilti´s Competence Center for Ventilated Façade and Installation Systems for Pipe rings and Heavy modular systems. As part of our Business Unit Installation we provide product development, supply, marketing and engineering. Our highly motivated international team works together with colleagues from all over the world in an entrepreneurial environment to bring innovative new products to the market.
What does the role involve?
In this role, you are responsible for the supply planning and its execution along the supply chain including in-house production planning and external suppliers. You will have an important role during the developing and implementing of materials management strategies and concepts along the supply chain benefiting product costs. Additionally, you analyze and track related suppliers / plants, execute improvement activities with related stakeholders and support achieving optimal end-to-end inventory.
Specific responsibilities include also the planning and execution of internal projects together with different internal and external stakeholders. Furthermore, you are responsible to manage all stock shortages ensuring that appropriate actions are taken to resolve them with minimum cost and maximum attention to customer.
As Teamlead you should also encourage your team to utilize inventory positioning along the supply chain to optimize transport and storage costs. You will lead a team of three team members, in Lanzenkirchen near Vienna, this includes the career development of people and succession planning but also the support of the team if necessary, through individual coaching and offering an overall direction.

What you need is:
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration and broad proven experience in a logistics or supply department of a multinational company
- Proven record in leading and coaching team members incl. developing and managing direct reports in a matrix environment
- Working knowledge with MS Office (especially Excel), SAP/APO, Blue Yonder (JDA)
- Effective communication, negotiation and excellent presentation skills in English are essential, German is recommended, and other languages are a plus
- Strong process and system know-how in multiple Supply Chain processes including Sales and Operations Planning
- Knowledgeable experience in project management and strong motivated personality with the attitude and drive to inspire others
This position is subject to the collective agreement for employees in metal trade, employment group IV which states a minimum gross salary of € 2.644,46 per month (in Austria it is legally obliged to announce at least a gross monthly salary). Based on your individual professional skills and know-how and previous experience, we are willing to negotiate and offer an attractive performance-oriented remuneration package highly above the minimum salary.
