Senior Development Engineer
What's the role?
As Senior Development Engineer you will have the opportunity to bring innovation and introduce new products and product platforms to the Hilti Installation Systems portfolio. Achieving that by defining and leading product development projects. You are accountable for managing development resources and costs within the projects you are responsible for.

What does the role involve?
Develop new product- or manufacturing technology in coordination with corporate research, external institute or external suppliers. You evaluate design inputs in coordination with Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply departments. You define technical boundary conditions (Product System Vision & Solution) and ensure that design intent is correctly translated into final product. You provide technical leadership to the risk management process and create reports including ‘failure mode and effects analysis’ (FMEA). You work closely with supplier and quality engineers to ensure product specification is correctly translated into final product. You plan and coordinate qualification tests and evaluation of the technical data. Responsible to coordinate internal and external development resources and / or institutes within the project, ensure IP clearance and support knowledge enhancement of development department.

What you need is:
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable discipline.
- Extensive experience in product development & CAD.
- Outstanding project lead skills.
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English (mandatory) and German (advantage).
- Highly committed personality with excellent understanding of the product development processes & methodologies.
- Experience in coordinating qualification tests.
- Experience in writing and approving of technical documentation such as technical drawings, product specification, engineering reports etc.
- Experience in manufacturing technologies and in cooperation’s with suppliers (Injection molding, stamping, roll forming, welding etc.)
The yearly salary for this fulltime position states a minimum of 54.000 Euro. This position is subject to the collective agreement for employees in metal trade, employment group 5. We are willing to negotiate and offer an attractive performance-oriented remuneration package above the minimum salary based on your excellent skills and know-how.
