What's the role?

As Senior Development Engineer you define, implement and lead technical projects. You will have the opportunity to bring innovation and introduce new products to the Hilti Business Unit Installation Systems portfolio. You are accountable for managing development resources and costs within the projects you are responsible for.

What does the role involve?

Develop new product- or manufacturing technology in coordination with corporate research, external institute or external suppliers. You evaluate design inputs in coordination with Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply. You plan technical resources and costs together with your project team. You work closely with supplier and quality engineers to ensure product specification is translated correctly into the final product and also plan/coordinate all qualification tests.

What you need is:

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable discipline
  • Extensive experience in product development & CAD
  • Outstanding project lead skills
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English (mandatory) and German (advantage).
  • Highly committed personality with excellent understanding of the development processes & methodologies.
  • Experience in coordinating qualification tests
  • Experience in writing and approving of technical documentation such as technical drawings, product specification, engineering reports etc.
  • Experience in manufacturing technologies and in cooperation’s with suppliers (Injection molding, stamping, roll forming, welding etc.)

This position is subject to the collective agreement for employees in metal trade, employment group 5, which states a minimum salary of € 3.255,64 per month. We are willing to negotiate and offer an attractive performance-oriented remuneration package above the minimum salary based on your excellent skills and know-how.
