Materials Manager (f/m/d)
What's the role?
We’re looking for a Material Manager (f/m/d) to join our team in Lanzenkirchen near Vienna. The role of the Materials Manager (f/m/d) is to successfully execute the principals of Strategic Supply Chain Management, overall managing the flow of material within the Hilti supply network to ensure an optimization of stock and service level, which directly contribute to Hilti’s objectives for sustainable, profitable growth.

Our site in Lanzenkirchen, based in the south of Vienna is Hilti´s Competence Center for Ventilated Façade and Installation Systems for Pipe rings and Heavy modular systems. As part of our Business Unit Installation we provide product development, supply, marketing and engineering. Our highly motivated international team works together with colleagues from all over the world in an entrepreneurial environment to bring innovative new products to the market.
What does the role involve?
In this role, you manage a large volume inventory through planning, purchasing and distribution to ensure our targeted product availability. You act as point of contact for internal and external stakeholders contributing to the agreed supply strategies. Furthermore, you manage the lifecycle of our product portfolio including item creation, master data maintenance, supply forecast and stocking strategies for new product launches as well as phase outs. You collaborate with our internal departments Marketing, Global Supply Chain and Finance to achieve agreed targets and develop and implement new supply chain and materials management procedures. You are also responsible for the reporting and the continuously increase of the efficiency and effectiveness in the overall materials management processes.

What you need is:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management - or equivalent degree
- 3+ years of Supply Chain Management or related experience
- Knowledgeable experience in demand and forecast planning
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge in SAP is a must
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high performing team environment
- Proficient analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills linked to a detail oriented and structured approach
- Professional oral and written communication skills in German and English are a must
- Flexibility to adapt to dynamic and rapidly changing environments
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills
This position is subject to the collective agreement for employees in metal trade, employment group IV which states a minimum salary of € 2.644,46per month - gross. We are willing to negotiate and offer an attractive performance-oriented remuneration package highly above the minimum salary based on your excellent skills and know-how.
