What's the role?

As Materials Manager your job is to successfully execute the principals of Strategic Supply Chain Management and to manage the flow of material within the Hilti supply network to ensure an optimization of stock and service level, which directly contribute to Hilti’s objectives for sustainable, profitable growth.

What does the role involve?

In this role, you manage a large volume inventory through planning, purchasing and distribution to ensure our targeted product availability. You act as point of contact for internal and external stakeholders contributing to the agreed supply strategies. Furthermore you manage the lifecycle of our product portfolio including item creation, master data maintenance, supply forecast and stocking strategies for new product launches as well as phase outs. You collaborate with our internal departments Marketing, Global Supply Chain and Finance to achieve agreed targets and develop and implement new supply chain and materials management procedures. You are also responsible for the reporting and the continuously increase of the efficiency and effectiveness in the overall materials management processes.

Our site Lanzenkirchen, based in the south of Vienna is Hilti´s Competence Center for Ventilated Façade and Installation Systems for Pipe rings and Heavy modular systems. As part of our Business Unit Installation we provide product development, supply, marketing and engineering. What you need is:

  • At least three years of Supply Chain Management experience
  • University degree in Engineering or Business Administration
  • Experience in demand and forecast planning and in working with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high performing team environment; detail oriented, strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and strong Problem-solving skills
  • SAP system experience and project management skills are a plus
  • Fluent in English, German is an advantage
  • Flexibility to travel

The yearly salary for this fulltime position states a minimum of 46.000 Euro. This position is subject to the collective agreement for employees in metal trade, employment group 4. We are willing to negotiate and offer an attractive performance-oriented remuneration package above the minimum salary based on your excellent skills and know-how.
