Head of Technical Services (m/f/d)
What's the role?
As Head of Technical Services (m/f/d) you will lead and coach the Technical Services team - consisting of Civil Engineers, Back Office Engineers and C&A Engineers – according to operative and strategic Ventilated Façade division targets. In this role you will contribute and implement the Ventilated Façade strategy throughout and into the Technical Service department according to Hilti standards, which directly contribute to Hilti’s objectives for sustainable, profitable growth.
You will be a part of the executive management team of our site in Lanzenkirchen, directly reporting to the General Manager of Eurofox GmbH – A Group Company of Hilti. Therefore, we are looking for an experienced leader who inspires and develops others and achieves outstanding results with his/her teams.

Our site in Lanzenkirchen, based in the south of Vienna, is Hilti´s Competence Center for Ventilated Façade and Installation Systems for Pipe rings and Heavy modular systems. As part of our Business Unit Installation we provide product development, supply, marketing and engineering. Our highly motivated international team works together with colleagues from all over the world in an entrepreneurial environment to bring innovative new products to the market.
What does the role involve?
In this role you will lead and support Technical Services related strategic tasks, with Hilti Market Organizations and their local façade engineering teams to ensure a benchmark service offering. Further you will be responsible to identify, initiate and drive continuous improvement and risk mitigation activities. In addition, you will be responsible for the people management incl. the career development of people and succession planning but also by supporting the team if necessary, through individual coaching and offering an overall direction.
We also expect from you to contribute to relevant trans-national façade associations. Identify and implement meaningful trans-national and national codes & approvals for our ventilated façade portfolio in strong alignment with all Hilti stakeholders belong to your everyday work as well.

What you need is:
- Master’s degree in engineering (e.g. industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering) and a broad experience in customer service operations in the construction industry
- Several years of relevant working experience in a management function incl. developing and managing direct reports
- Excellent managerial and analytical skills and advanced project management skills, especially in specified technical areas
- Knowledge in modern design tools such as 3D CAD, BIM, FEM systems; Knowledge in Eurocode and comparable
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English are essential, German is a plus
This position is subject to the collective agreement for employees in metal trade, employment group V, which states a minimum salary of € 3.255,64 per month – gross (in Austria it is legally obliged to announce at least a gross monthly salary). Based on your individual professional skills and know-how and previous experience, we are willing to negotiate and offer an attractive performance-oriented remuneration package highly above the minimum salary.
