Finance Controller (Data Analyst) (f/m/d)
What's the role?
For our international Finance Team, we are hiring a Data Analyst (f/m/d) to process and prepare databases for strategic decisions and fact-based discussions. As Data Analyst (f/m/d) you will be working under the functional leadership and direction of Hilti AG’s Business Unit Installation and act as the analytical and reporting expert for the management.

Our site in Lanzenkirchen, based in the south of Vienna, is Hilti´s Competence Center for Ventilated Façade and Installation Systems for Pipe rings and Heavy modular systems. As part of our Business Unit Installation we provide product development, supply, marketing and engineering. Our highly motivated international team works together with colleagues from all over the world in an entrepreneurial environment to bring innovative new products to the market.
What does the role involve?
In your role, you will be responsible for conducting exploratory analysis of large amounts of data, finding data patterns as well as presenting and explaining data insights to internal stakeholders in order to be able to support the whole decision making process of the management team. Specific responsibilities include independent preparation of reports or models, accurate and effective visualization of data as well as supporting internal stakeholders during ad hoc tasks e.g. project work, operational tasks etc. Additionally, you will be in charge of measuring the success of strategic initiatives, developing key performance indicators and making predications based on data trends.

What you need is:
- Master’s degree in business informatics or economics and professional experience in finance / sales controlling and data analysis
- Business acumen linked to fast thinking and high learning ability
- Strong math expertise, outstanding statistical and analytical skills
- Advanced Knowledge of MS Excel skills are essential (Excel macros skills are a plus); SAP skills, good knowledge of data processing tools e.g. Access, SQL, SAP-BI are an advantage
- Excellent communication negotiation skills in English are mandatory, other languages are a plus
- Must be solution-orientated and able to balance different sources of information
This position is subject to the collective agreement for employees in metal trade, employment group III, which states a minimum gross salary of € 2.138,66 per month and annual gross salary of € 44.000,- (in Austria it is legally obliged to announce at least a gross monthly salary). Based on your individual professional skills and know-how and previous experience, we are willing to negotiate and offer an attractive performance-oriented remuneration package highly above the minimum salary.
