Engineering Team Leader (f/m/d)
What's the role?
For our Façade Engineering team, located in Lanzenkirchen near Vienna, we are hiring a team leader to lead an international team of engineers, creating outstanding performance of our ventilated façade systems, which directly contribute to Hilti’s objectives for sustainable, profitable growth.

Our site in Lanzenkirchen, based in the south of Vienna, is Hilti´s Competence Center for Ventilated Façade and Installation Systems for Pipe rings and Heavy modular systems. As part of our Business Unit Installation we provide product development, supply, marketing and engineering. Our highly motivated international team works together with colleagues from all over the world in an entrepreneurial environment to bring innovative new products to the market.
What does the role involve?
In your role, you will launch and deliver competitive and on-target engineering services for Ventilated Façade projects through your team to market organizations and customers. You will outperform competition offerings by driving improvement and productivity activities in your area of responsibility. While occasionally engineering façade solutions by yourself, you will lead and develop your team according global Hilti standards and establish and maintain a confirmed succession pipeline. Entering on this position, we expect you to develop into a higher role. Therefore, you will constantly work with high visibility towards the top management and you will have the opportunity to build-up a network for your further career advancement.

What you need is:
- Outstanding track record in customer service development and operations in the construction industry
- Proven leadership capabilities in high-performance, complex and international organizations
- Proven record in leading and coaching team members incl. developing and managing direct reports
- Expert knowledge in service design, problem solving and continuous improvement
- Master’s Degree in Civil or Industrial Engineering
- Post-graduate management education beneficial
- Advanced project management skills, especially in specified technical areas
- Excellent communication skills in English, German is highly beneficial
- Knowledge of modern design tools such as 3D CAD, BIM, FEM systems
- Expertise in typical static analyses and ability to explain results to externals
This position is subject to the collective agreement for employees in metal trade, employment group IV which states a minimum salary of € 3.333,78 per month - gross (in Austria it is legally obliged to announce at least a gross monthly salary). Based on your individual professional skills and know-how and previous experience, we are willing to negotiate and offer an attractive performance-oriented remuneration package highly above the minimum salary.
